What can we say about the French macaron’s American cousin other than we love them. They are much easier to prepare — no meringue involved. Ours have a hint of orange, but you can certainly substitute lime if that more your thing. We love that this “batter” is stiff enough to hold it’s shape, so we like to make them into modern looking cubes — I also made bunnies once. No pressure. Spoonfuls or scoops are just as delicious.
